GIRL FRAME

I love everything about this system and concept. My partners and I are currently looking through the rules and trying to pull a group together. One thing I wanted to mention is that the Discord link in the book comes back as invalid. If it would be possible to update that I'd love to be able to join the Discord <3

This game looks so incredible, I'm trying to get a group of t girls together to play. One comment: I found the use of you/me pronouns confusing on the 11+ result of Flirt. My instincts tell me it's the same "you" and "me" as in the 8-10 results but it's hard because unlike with the 8-10 options, the flirter isn't asking the flirtee a question. Also if that is the case, the logistical part of the 11+ uses "you" to a different person (the flirter) a second earlier. 

I have been trying to find a liveplay of this game because i have wanted to figure out how this works. its easier with examples x.x

I got to play two sessions of this and it was incredible. I was a Casualty in CONSUME. Part of my body was remade of our dead Alpha friend.

One thing that came up was a confusion over the sticklerness of "when you gain Void". Does "grow a new void asset" count as gaining Void? Handler ruled that thematically it counts, and I was fine with that, so we were marking off Casualty's body parts more often, once from defeat and once from something else that added a void asset. But there were quite a few times I was growing void assets without the keyword "gain" and I wasn't sure how my character could last a third session if it counted. But that might also be on-point for a Casualty.

We also ruled that Handler was "regular people". That was a good ending.

Reading Girl Frame as a cis-het male was a very interesting experience. From the very start it made me uncomfortable imagining myself playing out the results of Plays, especially in mixed gender group (though a bunch of cis-het guys playing this on their own seems inappropriately weird in its own way).

I have seldom been hit with my own position in the patriarchal sexual hierarchy quite as hard by a piece of written media. To play this kind emotional, sexual and social abuse and toxicity as cis-het guy, inside a fictional story about lesbians... I truly felt that this was simply not a place where I should or even could be without it carrying heavy out of game connotations and effects. 

This led me down an internet rabbit hole reading blogs and posts from all over about trans-feminine and lesbian life experiences and while I can't say exactly what I've learned I do think I learned a thing or two, and I have more things to think about and learn. 

So thank you for making Girl Frame. It has impacted me and made me think about my own gender and sexuality as they exist in the real world in a way I had not expected it to do. I'm not sure I'll ever play it, but it has given me something and I was deeply moved.

Are there going to be any descriptors included for various assets? I really wanna know what QUIET SEA is.

Hi! My partner is putting a game of this together, and the players have had different interpretations on the timing of marking tags.
Some felt that "To shift your result +1 or -1" meant that marking happened once a result was generated (so after rolling), while some felt that it should be done before rolling to shift the result of the roll.
Could I please get the designer intent? ^^'

Does the Princess's "To a Higher Standard" status increase on mission end get applied before or after determining who gets an additional Permission for being the Ace?

hi, clarifying question for the ‘go for the core’ move, do gorgons count as NPC’s for the 11+ result? Or are they gorgons first and foremost?

How do I get the updated file? I just purchased it a few days ago from here.

Are thre any plan for when the game will be done/finalized, ie when there will be no more planned updates?

Hey, trying to figure out which of my friends would be interested in playing- I still need to buy the book, but I'm trying to describe it to them and I'm hoping for a clarification, is the Handler supposed to be a Player, or GM role? I just want to give my players as many options as possible, but also I feel like the role of Handler is easy to end up fighting over, if it's a player role.

Possible typo or very unclear text.

Last sentence of the Put Someone Beneath You basic Play, just kind of trails off.

"She unmark an identity of her own and pick one to ask you." 

I am unsure how to interpret that. Ask you about? Ask you about it? About an identity of yours?

How many people is the game designed around?

Basically, I know 1 person and am hoping  that its 2 minimum and not 3 like I suspect. So yea, its probably 3 or 5.

was skimming the tag, as i am wont to do for ttrpgs i have a passive interest in, and saw a tumblr post calling it "alarmingly lesbophobic", knowing i immediately had to read it. and golly am i glad i did because this shit fucks. cried multiple times getting through the book, can't wait to organize a game with it
